What is Action+?

Action + is a fun way to integrate proper throwing mechanics for the younger generation. Here at 8ctane, with all the tech, data, and resources we have ways to improve the throw from a health and velocity standpoint. Now we want to bring that to the youth. What we do in our younger years of development have a large impact on our future. Through our years of research we have found certain points in the throw that are crucial to health and performance. Action + is a way to teach the proper throw, through fun drills and interactive learning via YouTube and others. We have our Google Sheets page that will be sent with different days-Tarheel, Wolfpack, Deacon, and Pirate. Each day has different drills and different effort levels that need to be performed.

What is S&C?

S&C stands for Strength and Conditioning. Depending on the athletes age, changes will be made. In no way do we want young kids to squat, deadlift, or bench a ton of weight. Rather, we wish to add functional and foundational movements to our athletes so that the transition to the weight room in a few years is much easier and safer! Our S&C Specialist Matt Dvorscak has put the time and effort into making sure these foundations are met.

What is Arm Care+?

Arm Care + is a fun way to have our athletes understand the importance of taking care of their bodies. This includes mobility work, shoulder care and more. Taking care of the arm is extremely crucial for long term health, command, and velocity! Starting these routines at a young age will only benefit the athlete over the long haul.

Why Action+?

Here at 8ctane we have found that just one bullpen a week in house is not enough for the athlete to comprehend concepts taught here. Especially for the younger kids. Our 6 week program can be done at home or through your team or organization. Consistent work leads to better results.
